The weather has turned cool again so today’s salad is a winter salad. I came up with this during our time in Canada, thus the name. It’s similar to the Salade Campagnarde that I posted on June 6, https://www.nicolatrwst.com/salade-campagnarde/ but the ingredients are more filling to help one fight the elements. In my case, 20 mph winds.

This salad is very popular with my family. I make extra and eat it all week. (This batch serves 6). In summer serve it cold with BBQ. It goes well with sausage and old-style mustard. In winter you can serve it warm as a meal or a side salad.
